MEET LOUISE
Hi I'm Louise,

I’m an experienced and compassionate practitioner offering a safe, grounded space for healing and personal growth. My work is rooted in person-centred and trauma-informed practice, shaped by both academic study and years of real-world experience supporting people in crisis and recovery.
Alongside therapeutic interventions and holistic techniques, I manage a Mental Health Crisis Service for Adults, working directly with individuals facing acute distress and complex needs. This role deepened my understanding of human resilience, risk, and recovery and continues to inform my calm, collaborative approach in the therapy room.
I and also volunteer as a counsellor for an organisation supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual violence, and domestic abuse, offering a compassionate and empowering space for those rebuilding after trauma.
Relevant academic achievements include a CertHE in Psychology and I am currently near completion of my Degree in Counselling and the CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Person-Centered Counselling (BACP accredited).
I hold additional qualifications and awards in:
-
CPCAB Counselling Skills
-

As an EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Practitioner, I have completed face-to-face in depth training and hours of guided study to allow me to now independently practice, I'm currently working towards listing as an Accredited Practitioner with EFT International (EFTi). This technique deepens my ability to integrate evidence-informed somatic approaches with therapeutic dialogue, supporting emotional release, grounding, and nervous system regulation.
I have undertaken extensive safeguarding and specialist training via the Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Partnership, achieving DSL level multi-agency safeguarding competency.
My CPD includes:
-
Child sexual abuse awareness
-
Disguised compliance and indicators of Neglect
-
Cumulative harm and professional curiosity
-

-

I am a Registered Student Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold full professional and public liability insurance, ensuring my practice meets the highest standards of safety, ethics, and professionalism.
My approach combines clinical knowledge with authentic human connection meeting each person where they are, and helping them move towards a life that feels more balanced, empowered, and true to who they are.

I look forward to meeting you.
