A LITTLE ABOUT ME......
My path into therapy was not born solely from textbooks or training rooms, but through lived experience, resilience, and a deep understanding of how emotional pain can shape people and families. My journey has been one of growth, reflection, and a genuine passion for helping others feel seen, heard, and supported.

As a neurodivergent parent to six children, I understand the realities of emotional overwhelm, advocacy, burnout, and navigating systems that do not always feel accessible or compassionate. These experiences have shaped the way I work: with warmth, flexibility, honesty, and without judgement.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in complex and emotionally demanding roles across mental health, criminal justice, homelessness, and community support services. This included leading a non-clinical out of hours mental health service, supporting individuals experiencing emotional distress, crisis, isolation, and vulnerability during some of their most difficult moments. I also worked within supported housing and criminal justice settings, where I saw first-hand how trauma, shame, adverse experiences, and unmet emotional needs can profoundly impact people’s lives and relationships.

These experiences have deepened my understanding of the importance of compassionate, person-centred support and ultimately led me towards my integrative approach within counselling and use of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). During my counselling training, I completed over 150 supervised client hours within a specialist service supporting individuals who had experienced complex trauma, including domestic abuse, sexual violence, and childhood trauma. This work further strengthened my trauma-informed approach and reinforced the importance of creating safe, relational spaces where people feel genuinely heard, accepted, contained, and supported.

Alongside my counselling and EFT qualifications, I am also a Drawing and Talking accredited practitioner. I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate for both adults and children and subscribe to the DBS Update Service. I am currently completing Makaton Levels 1-4, due for completion in Autumn 2026, as part of my commitment to improving accessibility, communication, and inclusive practice for children, young people, and families.

I am passionate about continual professional development and remain committed to advancing my knowledge and practice through ongoing training and post-qualifying study, including future Level 6 and Level 7 qualifications. I am also working towards BACP accreditation within the SCoPEd framework as part of my ongoing professional development and commitment to safe, ethical, and evidence-informed practice.

Today, I am a trauma-informed counsellor, EFT International Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner, and founder of Preziosa Therapia, I support children, young people, adults, and families both privately and through community programmes across the Isle of Wight.
Alongside online and outreach work, I now welcome clients into our private practice space within the iconic 18th century 'Red House' in Newport, Isle of Wight, famously recognised as the birthplace of Australia’s first Prime Minister, Edmund Barton.

My work is grounded in authenticity, connection, and lived understanding, helping people move towards healing, emotional regulation, and lasting growth. I look forward to walking with you, on your journey.....
